and yet, you have missed the perfect opportunity to properly use the words bitch and breeder together in the same blog entry ;)

Same dingbat that just up and left her cat at the vet recently and never picked it up.

I'd like to see ALL her animals taken away and given to people who actually do not want them as fashion accessories, but as pets to be loved and made part of a family. Somehow I don't think they would really miss her. (They might miss the staff that has actually been taking care of them...)

Just more evidence that the girl doesn't have 2 brain cells to rub together.

I actually wrote about this on my blog this morning. I'm not sure how I feel about it - I have multiple pets (5 cats - the limit in our town). Seventeen is certainly excessive. What really gets me though is that she hasn't had them spayed or neutered. That's just sad, and it is uneducated! She has the money and the people around her - someone should just tell her what's what and have these animals properly taken care of!

I'm very confused by that comment, Tammy. For someone as rich as Paris, do you think these are mutts? These have to be purebred dogs, and that mindset is that fixing them means ruining their purebredness. I would fully expect that she would have intact dogs.

Eh, as someone who knows someone... who has dealt with Paris and her pets- LOL- I've heard her pets are taken extremely well care of. HOWEVER, of course, not by Paris herself! Could you imagine her waking around with a couture doggy doodie bag? LMAO!

Anyways- I am disgusted that her dogs are not fixed- particularly the types of dogs she owns which would seem to need medical intervention a lot to give birth. (I just picture very tiny dogs as having difficult pregnancies/deliveries). As someone who brags about her pets- she should treat them as SUCH- pets! Pets shoudl be spayed/neutered and well taken care of.

As to the number- Hugh Heffner has a helluvalot more animals then Paris Hilton, BUT they are supposedly taken care of perfectly AND he went out of his way to get a permit to have the number he owns. I don't think the number bothers me as much with Paris as the irresponsibility- if I had caretakers for my animals, I'd have 17 cats! (Not dogs- could you imagine the barking? GAH!)

My comment is just opinion. She is not a breeder - it seems irresponsible to have so many animals un-spayed or un-neutered and allow them to continue having puppies...

Tammy February 19th, 2008 01:01:00 PM

I agree Trish. It's not the number. I'd have a zillion if I could (and if they would be happy together). The fact that she still goes to pet shops and buys pups (as recently as 2007) is also testament to her chronically impulsive way with living things.

Even if they are purebred, if she's not actively showing and competing with them, they need to be altered. The only good reason to keep a dog intact is to add something positive to a breeding program. Just being purebred is not enough.

Well duh it seems irresponsible. It is. But of course she would have intact pets. They're purebreds! I'm just amazed anyone finds this surprising.
